-Correct polarity of
clipcord: In order for the
coil
tattoo machine to operate
properly,the clipcord must
be installed on the tattoo
machine,with it's correct polarity.The coil machine diagnostics
feature,allows for a quick check of the correct polarity of the
clipcord.
The correct installation of the
clipcord is the one that the Power supply's 'Ground ' ( 0 V ) is
binded with the frame( 'case' ) of the tattoo machine.
The +V goes on the lower bind post.
Check
Clip Cord Polarity :
-Install
the sensor wire's croc clip to the machine's contact screw and insert
it's plug at the Sensor Input.
-Take a measure of the Duty Cycle
with free running
machine (no load ).Note the result.
-Place
your thumb in the armature bar's needle tip,while
the machine is operating.
-Press upwards with your thumb,
thus forcing the front spring to
contact more
the
contact screw's tip,with the machine still operating .This will
normally increase
the machine's Duty Cycle.I.e from
50% should go to 60-80%.Coils are charging for longer time.
-If
instead a decreasement
is shown (I.e from 50% goes to 40-20 % ),reverse the Clip
Cord's polarity,
as
it is wrongly installed.
